Over my 14 years experience as a midwife it never ceases to amaze me how beautiful birth is.
I believe in women and the power of their bodies to birth. I want to empower you during your pregnancy and birth to feel the same, so that you can have a fun and enjoyable experience. I work as part of Wessex Independent Midwives to provide individualised, personal, private midwife care in Ringwood, Wareham, Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Salisbury, New Forest, Verwood, Ferndown and other areas of Hampshire, Dorset and parts of Wiltshire. We offer a range of services for families at this wonderful time in their lives.
I facilitate birth preperation and relaxation classes or antenatal classes, breast feeding workshops and mother and baby Baby Calm classes. The private antenatal classes help prepare you for the birth and parenthood. We discuss labour, waterbirth, home birth, hospital birth, how to breastfeed and lots more. Because I am a midwife rather than antenatal teacher, I am able to discuss and advise you with your personal circumstances and give you a realistic idea of what to expect. The postnatal classes are for Mum’s and babies up to 20 weeks old. The baby massage techniques are just as relaxing for you as for baby. In the classes we will explore your babies understanding of the world and help you to understand their needs as well as share calmimg and soothing techniques for colic and crying babies.
